14 weeks!

Oh the crib smiles in the AM are absolutely my favorite...All I have to do is say gooood morning and he's grinning from ear to ear!

After a long day at work...daddy got to come home and find a happy Crawford. He just was cheesing and enjoying sitting at the dinner table with us. I can't get enough of his smiles. Seeing him smiling and happy is the most amazing feeling and it never gets old!

This is C resting on Aunt Cat. He just loves when she comes to visit. Did I mention how much she spoils little C. I kid you not I think she arrived with 20+ outfits for him, a workbench play station and a walker. She always comes with gifts and she just love holding and cuddling C and he loves her spoiling him!

I just love this picture--Crawford and daddy hanging out on their first Saturday alone (mommy had to work her weekend) They resemble each other so much and I just hated to leave them!

We took C out to a Clemson baseball game at Flour Field. The Browns came with and we really just enjoyed a casual dinner and got to catch up. C behaved for about an hour and then he was hungry and ready to go. We had a great time venturing out with him!

This is C sucking on his hand which he enjoys doing these days. He's like man I got caught!

This is how I find C in the mornings. He has been sleeping in his crib for 3 weeks now wahoo! and we have made him a little bed in there by stacking blankets underneath the crib mattress. This way he feels enclosed and safe and he must love it because he has been sleeping for 10 hours + ever since! He always break free from his swaddle usually within the first hour of his sleep so we always find him half wrapped in the AM. Did I mention I loove our video monitor because I can stare at him anytime in the night and watch him squirm and suck his little hand until he falls back asleep. I love him so much!

Ps---something weird has happened to blogspot and I can't post pics and text very easily. I have no idea why the pics pop up all funny and the text isn't where it is supposed to be. Britt=do you know how I can fix this...it's been happening for the past few months and I spend awhile trying to fix it but no such luck?

13 Weeks

Well here a some additional pictures of C at 3 months.
He lovvvves his baths. He loves to kick kick those legs and I really look forward to doing some mommy and baby swimming lessons this summer! (I was such a fish in the water growing up and I really want C to be equally comfortable in the water)

Brad's great at giving C baths. He started making sure that C is nice and clean when I work late. We started giving him a bath every night simply because it calms him down and it gives us 30 minutes of peace from his usual fussiness. He really can slide down this little incline so it is difficult to bathe him with him wiggling all aroun.

Here are some bumbo pics. I am just amazed at how soon they can literally hold there head up and sit and be part of the fam at dinner. It's so nice that Brad and I can finally eat dinner together because for awhile one of us would hold him while the other ate. Although I don't get to spend as much time with C these days I seem to just never put him down when I am with him.

Look C can now sorta play in his exersaucer. Notice how his feet don't quite hit the floor so he can't quite bounce in it yet. I get on the floor and make all the animals jump at him and play the music and he stays quite entertained.

Love you little Crawford and all the happiness and joy you bring to our lives every.single.day!

3 Months!

• 
  I am in loveeeee with my little 3 month old! He has become this sweet little human and I can evoke the most darling smiles! He is so much fun! I truly get so sad leaving him each morning. I enjoy my days off more than I ever have and I just love that I have finally developed some mommy confidence and can take him on my errands now. He loves looking around and as long as I am pushing him in his stroller he is so content. It looks like mommy found a new shopping buddy!
  
  Crawford--you have really come into your own these days...you cuddle more, you smile more, you sleep more, you are less fussy and you bring such joy to your daddy and me! Even when I have been with you all day I still follow daddy around when he has you...it's as if I don't want to miss a single minute with you ...and I don't...I cannot get enough of you and your ever changing temperment and personality are so much fun to watch! I can't believe how big you have gotten already! You can now freely hold your head up and the newborn days are quickly fading..so sad.

• Weight - 13 lb 8 oz

• Length- 25.5 inches

• You are wearing size 1 diapers


• You are wearing 3 month or 3-6 month clothing. Your Gap sleepers are comfy the Carters ones get real worn and short for you. Polo runs crazy small and 3 month outfits are too small. Gymboree you are wearing 3-6 month and 3 month jon jons are still pretty big


• We have given you all sorts of nicknames-- C, C-man, boo boo, Crawf, boobs (I know that sounds funny but that's what I always end up calling you guess I put boo boo together)


• Your hands are all over the place this month--if you are sleeping they are up by your head, if you are hungry they are in your mouth, you have started sucking on your fingers if you wake yourself up, when you are eating you are clawing and scratching at mommy's chest


• You love the tv and all the sound and colors that come from it


• You are a drooling fool


• You are drinking from a bottle and doing a great job. You started taking bottles regularly on March 1st when mommy went back to work. I usually leave 3-4 4 ounce bottles for grandpa to use during the day. On the days mommy works till 9 I leave an additional 8-12 ounces for you because you eat nonstop in the evenings even when mommy is gone


• You prefer the medela bottles. I had all these great bottles to try out and you prefer the free ones that came with the pump


• You still love the swing (although I just purchased one this weekend and you don't seem to like the new swing go figure!)


• You love going on walks and as long as you are in your stroller being pushed you stay content


• You spent most of this past month sleeping from 10 to about 4-7 (and this was on the dryer in your carrier....well mommy decided to buy this woombie zip up one piece that locked your hands and feet all in one outfit ...you somehow figured out how to get enough momentum going to propel yourself out of the carrier=worried sick mommy and daddy and a trip to the doctor to make sure you were ok---you were just fine thank goodness) Well obviously that was a red flag --no more sleeping on the dryer...we dreaded the transition to the crib so we tried setting you in your carrier in your room for a week and a half...then on the weekends we would set you in your crib and you would only last a couple of hours...well this past weekend you just decided to sleep 10 hours in your crib on Sat night and voila since then you have slept in your crib and the past 2 days till 9:30 (mommy feels like the luckiest most grateful mommy around) ...so for the past 5 days you have slept between 10-11 hours interested to see how long this lasts!


• You still love nursing and I almost always get to feed you before I leave for work (unless you are still sleeping which has only happened once and I was just so sad all day because I didn't get my Crawford time) but you are always awaiting me at the door when I get home from work and it usually just takes about an hour or so of eating and you are out!


• Your yawns are the cutest thing


• You can sit in your bumbo now! Yay!


• This is the first month where you have really gotten out and about...I took you to Kohls, you have been to Publix several times, Buy Buy Baby, Target, The Bramhalls, to Chiefs (with your daddy while mommy was at the gym and thought you were at home!), Liberty (to watch the Clemson bball game), inside Chipotle to pick up dinner, the mall (once to shop and just today to have your 3 month pictures taken), Panera, and Flour Field for Clemson baseball game tonight!


• You are adjusting well to mommy being back at work. Grandpa says you are doing just fine (and I will take his work for it but I still believe it's MOST of the time...as you still have your fussy bouts!) You take short naps for grandpa usually on his stomach or while he is rocking you in the glider. He also takes you outside and on walks and you are eating well for hime


• You love being sung to (mommy has the worst voice and I will literally sing you songs about what I am doing and you act like I am the best form of entertainment ever!)

I truly have embraced this past month with you....The first 2 months were such a huge adjustment for both of us buddy and I am soo grateful that I have become so much more comfortable being the best mommy I possibly can be to you. Your daddy and me just literally stare and you and you are the topic of our conversations 90% of the time. What did we have to talk about before you came along? Your smiles melt my heart (each and every smile still gets me and I just want to package you up and keep you small and all mine forever!) I love every piece of you and literally thank God every day for your good health and for being the best blessing that has ever come into our lives!

12 weeks

Crawford got to meet his new cousin Carter (Brad's brothers new baby) on Friday March 11th (he was born the 7th) He is right under 7 pounds now and just soo much smaller than C ever was. His tiny little hands are just precious and he is soo quiet and adorable! I can't believe how close in age these two are...I remember thinking 3 months seemed a little ways away and now it so unreal how close in age they are!









I just had to write a post about the adorable log Grandpa keeps of the time he spends with Crawford! I didn't ask or even suggest that he do this which makes it all the sweeter.


This is from my first day back at work. I didn't even call home till almost 3 because I was scared if I heard him crying I would get so sad. Needless to say I thought about him all day long! (I still think about him every minute I am gone but I seriously have the greatest peace knowing that Grandpa is keeping him) I know how much he adores Crawford and he has so much love for him and taking great care...it makes it so much easier than I could have imagined it being if I had to leave him with someone or some place else.

Rainy weekend with C

Well after getting back to work for a couple of days I was sooo happy to have 4 days to spend with C. We have been working on getting him to sleep in his crib (versus his car seat) so it was an eventful couple of nights. He is definitely still not digging his crib but when we put his car seat on the ground right next to his crib he will sleep 8-12 hours...go figure! So anyways we plan to spend the weekends getting him used to his crib some more but during the work week sleep is just absolutely necessary so we are still having him sleep in his carrier on the ground next to crib with the bouncy seat vibrating against it because Mr. High Maintenance needs some vibration to keep him calm while he sleeps! Besides that C has been doing great he is smiling more and more and can finally sit in his bumbo (I mean greatest invention ever!) Now we can cook or put away the dishes and C just joins right in ...we are loving that! Grandpa is doing an amazing job with C and I am sure he is going to be one spoiled little guy! He's taking the bottle just fine during the day which is just great news! He is not a happy guy in the evening for Brad when I am stuck at work till 9 but we kinda figured that much considering he usually eats nonstop from 6-10 so that is an adjustment we are still working on. However, the 2 nights Brad has had him till 9 he slept 12 hours afterwards so he must be doing something right!















Aunt Cat came to visit for the weekend and I was sooo excited to have her here. She is just wonderful with C and he loves her. She gives him the best baths (I mean how come it doesn't come as easy for me...who knows but he loves bath time with her!) We went a picked out a rocking bench for our front porch so that we can rock C out there.















Daddy hung out with C while Cathleen and I ran some errands














Look at me mom I can sit in my bumbo (I was estatic!) I hadn't tried in a week or so and just all of the sudden he could hold his head up just enough to enjoy his bumbo experience!

Well as always I am just in love with my little guy and just enjoy every single second I get to spend with him even when he's fussy and crying!!!
