Well Crawford officially had his first mini vaca and beach trip this past weekend. We couldn't be more grateful for the care that Brad's parents provide to C whenever we need it and most importantly the fact that his dad retired after 50 years to stay and take care of C we thought it would be nice to take them to the beach for a little relaxing and some golf for the boys. C made the trip to North Myrtle on May 5th and slept until we were pulling into Little River to grab lunch before the boys teed off. Well dum-o mommy forgot they hey C has been in a carseat for 5 hours I should probably change his diaper....so needless to say we were welcomed to quite a treat when we pulled in to the condo. We had stuff falling off the luggage cart I was trying to carry bags and the carrier w/ C in it because there was poop everywhere and it was a mess...but we got him all undressed and in the make shift tub aka his bumbo and the kitchen sink and C was cleaned and ready to explore!
We spent the first day venturing to the store and walking around the condo and out on the beach for the first time, picked the boys up from golf and then headed to Calabash for dinner. C slept pretty well in the pack and play and I think if it wasn't for the noisy terrible bed Brad and I were sleeping in he may have made it through the hole night...but he was up at 4 and back down till 7:30. We hit up breakfast in the AM and then got dressed for the beach and took C on his first walk along the beach. He loved it! It was pretty chilly so we were all dressed in layers and just enjoyed a nice walk.
We got C ready for lunch at Ultimate California Pizza (which is daddy's favorite pizza place) and since it rained the rest of the afternoon we spend the rest of the day indoors trying to wait for the sun to come out. C was happy though!
loving his blue shades!
First family picture on the Beach...sorry for my awkward outfit I was cold and wasn't prepared!
C loved hanging out by the hot tub and who knew that 15 min out there would lead to red cheeks and legs...we moved it to the indoor hot tub...which he loved by the way and yes people think we are crazy for letting him in but Brad just held him in there and he likes hot baths so we think he was a-okay!
C and his first sun hat and rash guard...loving the beach life
C and daddy hanging in the giant hot tub...it was sunny but breezy and cool...perfect beach day!
Grandpa taking C back up to the room after a great day in the sun!
Well C did pretty well until we ventured to Market Commons (a cute little area in Myrtle with shops, restaurants, and condos) and mommy got to go shop at Anthropologie while the others settled down for dinner...I showed up to a suuuuper fussy C and so C and I headed to the cars and skipped dinner (just one of the new experiences of being a parent...although C rarely lets us enjoy any meals out...but hey I don't mind)

The next morning the boys played golf again so Janet and I got C ready for the beach again and took a long walk along the beach and then hung by the pool for a little while. Again, he did great outside and we kept him nice and covered up to make sure no more rosy cheeks!
Being outside a lot resulted in many sink baths...glad C still enjoys bath time!

Janet has many more pictures as it was difficult to lug the big ole camera around everywhere so I will have to add pictures later...We had such a great time and it was SOO nice to get away and have C in a new environment...as long as he was on the go he did great..he just hates going out to eat and even though we keep trying to get him to behave I just don't see it happening anytime soon. I can't wait for out next getaway!
