Weekend at the Ballantyne

We were itching to get away for the weekend since it's summer and we haven't gotten to enjoy a proper summer getaway. Brad couldn't get off work until late Friday so we returned to the Ballantyne Resort outside of Charlotte where Brad and I had visited a few weeks back. We thought that since Crawford enjoyed the pool we could spend time at the pool (both indoor and out) and then spend sometime shopping and eating in Charlotte. Cathleen and I drove up early Friday and spent the day by the pool. When Brad got to town we headed towards SoutPark and had dinner. Crawford slept through the night in his pack and play (we weren't sure how he would do right there in the same room as us)...but we had a great first day. The next morning Brad and a few of his Charlotte buddies played golf at the resort while Cat and I headed to breakfast and Dean and Deluca and some shopping at South Park Mall. We had a fun afternoon! We spent the afternoon playing at the indoor pool and having some drinks in the lobby while we witnessed a celebrity wedding go down. Apparently Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors (NBA team) got married at the hotel. It was so hilarious to see Brad so star struck. Cat and I just enjoyed watching all the tallll men come in with these ladies all blinged out! It was fun! We spent our last morning at the hot tub and enjoyed breakfast in the lobby. It was so fun to get out of Greenville. Even though we didn't venture far it felt like a vacation and we really all had a great time! Crawford didn't want to leave!

This was a resistance pool. We would place C at one end by Aunt Cat and he would quickly return to daddy at the other end. He had a ball!
