Thanksgiving 2011

We spent this Thanksgiving at Brad's parents house. Aunt Cat came up to celebrate with us. His mom did most of the cooking and it was delicious! Crawford adores his Aunt Cat

He is so spoiled by his grandparents and he is attached to Grandpa because he keeps him every day. We are so thankful this year for the wonderful gift his dad has given us. He has watched our son every day at our house while I went back to work. I can't imagine how I can ever show him my full gratitude. He has saved us much more than the money I would have spent in day care. He has cuddled with him, fed him his first bottles and his first solid foods, got him on a better nap schedule than I ever could, kept him free of sickness, watched him in his own environment and saved us so much time in packing C's things each day, and loved him as much as we do and we couldn't be more thankful this year for this amazing gift!

Crawford loves cats and chases Molly all around the house and Molly lets him pull her hair and tackle her.

We went out back after eating to let Crawford play on one of Brad's motorized police car that is 30+ years old. He looooved it! We had to ghetto rig it since he isn't tall enough to push the gas but I can foresee lots of fun on the police car in the future!

It got tiring pushing the gas and steering the car for him so we let C get down and push the police car and of course he enjoyed that just as much

wagon time--we didn't know how long he would sit still. We got about 5 minutes worth and loved watching him enjoy his stroll.

It was a great Thanksgiving and although it was sad I had to work the next day we made the most out of the day we all had together. Next year I will be back in full force black Friday shopping since it is my most favorite shopping day of the year!

Christmas Card

With the holidays coming up I have been excited to pick the perfect Christmas Card for our family's card this year. I had Crawford's Christmas pictures made last week and I can't wait to get them back so that I can choose the perfect picture. Tiny Prints offers a great giveaway for bloggers. I had the opportunity to look over there Christmas cards here: http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/picture-christmas-cards.html

I really like the new trend of ornament picture cards. This is such a fun way to show off all your family and friends on your tree. However, if I choose to go the traditional method I think I will stick with a one picture card that is pretty traditional. This one is my favorite right now: http://www.tinyprints.com/product/31586/christmas_cards_seasoned_wishes.html

I hope everyone has this much fun picking out the perfect Christmas card! Of course the card design will all depend on how Crawford's pictures come out. Everyone should stop by tiny prints and write about your favorite card! They will in return give you 50 free Christmas cards! I am excited for this great offer!

11 months

11 Month Stats:

  • Weight--19.5 pounds

  • Length-

  • Sleep- 9-8ish. You go to sleep awake now and just put your fingers in your mouth and grab your blanky and you are out.

  • Naps- Take 2 at least 1 hour naps and sometimes an additional evening cat nap. You always take your morning nap about 2 hours after getting up. The afternoon nap is not as predictable but you still nap well considering you are Mr. On the Go

  • You eat everything!!-- I can't even keep track because if we are eating someting then you want to try it and you don't even look at it -it goes straight to your mouth. New food you have tried --cucumbers, tomatoes, blueberries, rasberries, different beans, brocolli, zucchini, turkey. You still love mandarin oranges and grilled cheeses the best! You can eat a whole grilled cheese, a whole banana, and a whole can of oranges (I don't know where you put it)

  • You are still breastfed -man I had no idea we would last this long. You were nursing 4 times a day and I plan to take it down to 3 this month. You still won't take milk out of a sippy cup (and no chance out of a bottle either). You will take formula better than breast milk and I even tried whole milk and you take it about as well as formula. So we are hoping that changes next month!

  • You have six teeth (2 on bottom, 4 on top)

  • Diaper-Size 3

  • Clothes- 6-12 from Gymboree and Mini Boden 9 month-smocked outfits 12 month-Carter sleepers

  • Shoe-size 4

  • We have found you in the toilet numerous times this month-lovely

  • You can now crawl up and DOWN the stairs and the down part still makes me so nervous

  • You can get yourself down off of the couch and the bench in our room and while you used to want to head dive off you have figured out how to flip on your tummy and get off feet first

  • You love laughing at yourself when you head dive off our bed onto the bench and you looove doing this every night

  • You chatter up a storm -still no definitive words

  • You hum when you are eating someting you really like

  • You still love chewing on anything and everything -your favorites-the iphone, remote, and plugs of all sorts

  • You go crazy when you see the lap top (we have no idea why but if you spot it in a room you will make your way to it and freak out if someone won't let you push the buttons)

  • You really don't seem to like your stroller anymore-sad news for us

  • You do fine in the baby bjorn and that is how we have been grocery and errand shopping lately

  • You lovvve grandpa (of course) but I mean if given the choice to go to daddy or grandpa -granpda usually wins out!

  • You love going to the gym nursery-the girls that work there just love you and I always know you are in great hands

  • You can push and walk with your toys that are designed to be pushed

  • You love trucks or anything that you can push around on the floor

  • You are over the small puff and now prefer the veggie puff (basically like a cheese puff)

  • You still love baths and have even become brave enough to turn your head sideways and drink the water coming out of the faucet. When you are feeling real brave you will dunk your face in the water

  • You love the silky part of our pillows and must be holding it while you nurse. You also love the silky part on your blanky

  • You have mastered pretty much any sippy cup (except those with a straw). We give you water all throughout the day (when you are at Nana's you are spoiled and get juice)

  • You still are not a tv person and will only watch cartoon for maybeeee 10 minutes

  • You aren't a fan of having your diaper or clothing changed and you make this very difficult task for us

  • Ok, I am seriously in denial. I can't believe the one month countdown to Crawford's first birthday is going on. I just can't believe he has grown and changed so much over the past year. We have learned so much about ourselves as a couple and as parents and we still lay in bed at night talking about our precious son! We truly love you more than you could ever know. You make us laugh and you make us proud on a daily basis and really is there a better feeling? You play so well by yourself and it makes me think of how independent you have already become. I love when you crawl to me and pull up on me and keep pulling until I pick you up (just a sweet reminder of how you love me!) The other greatest feeling is you waving bye bye to me....although it's a little sad because you have no fear for strangers or mommy and daddy leaving you ..it's too cute when you wave and grin and I just know you are going to be okay! I love how you will crawl up in my lap and suck your fingers and rest your head on my shoulder ...it really is the greatest reward for being your mommy. I don't ever let a day go by without telling you how much I love you and how truly blessed I am to be your mom. I wish I could freeze this time because I am just not ready for you to be a big boy. I am so thankful that you are a sweet, happy boy and I am just going to treasure every day left of you being a baby because I am just not ready for this sweet time to pass....love you tons baby boy!

UGA/Auburn 2K11

Well we had another great trip to Athens. We spent Friday night at Last Resort for a great dinner and then headed to good ole power hour at Bourbon Street. We hopped around till about midnight and then headed home. Saturday it was an early start to get ready for our tailgate. We all met outside near the Chapel and set up shop. It was great for all the girls to get together and catch up. Not to mention I ran into high school friends and it was soo great to see so many people in Athens. We enjoyed the great Win and celebrated! So glad Britt and Hailey made the trip (at only 8 weeks old she did AMAZING!) and it was so great to have Britt with us for the day!

We enjoyed catching up like always

Brad secretly wishes he went to UGA. He just loves it and it so fun to share all of my fun college traditions with him!

great group shot of the girls whe we first go there around 10:30. Always great seeing KC as I feel like it's always way too long in between visits. We all had fun playing flip cup and talking about old memories!

Crawford's 10 month pictures

We had a great time dressing Crawford up in his Halloween costume for pictures. He did not like the camera at ALL...he was pretty fussy throughout the shoot and seemed scared of the pumpkins and the photographer...not C at all!--always funny when you can't get him to smile for a whole hour and then you leave and take him out and about to run errands and he's as happy as can be--but such is life and it's still fun to have his sweet pictures made! He was so unsure of us trying to get his attention and wanted someone to be right next to him.

haha-poor Crawford you would think we were so mean but it was bright and early and he was fed and happy but just NOT enjoying the photo shoot at all!

I mean he hated the pumpkins--poor guy...who would have known that 2 weeks later he was digging out the guts of a pumpkin loving it!

He finally got a little happier when he got zipped in his lobster costume and enjoyed checking out his pot!

there's the happy Crawford we know and love!!!

Football and Crawford's First Pumpkin Patch

We have had a fun fall filled with football games and fun fall activities. Aunt Cat came up a few weekends ago and we had a great girl's night at Twigs for a holiday decorating class and dinner. We spent the rest of the weekend cooking in the kitchen and loving on C. We loaded up the car for Crawford's first Clemson tailgate. It was a 12:00 game and a cool fall morning. We brought plenty of blankets and hand warmers and Crawford had a great time staring at all of the tailgaters. We had fun enjoying the Bramhalls and Mathias's company. We had a few other friends stop by and we ate good food and got ready for the big game. Brad and I went into the game while Aunt Cat kept C occupied.

Another fun football Saturday watching the bulldogs beat up on Florida. Crawford was just as excited as mommy for the great win!

We had a lot of fun dressing C in all of his fall clothing that I have been stashing away for the past few months. I loved his glow in the dark skeleton pj's.

Brad and his dad played golf a few Sundays ago and Aunt Cat and I took C down to Denver Downs to check out the pumpkin patch.

C got to partake in his first hayride! I never know how C will respond to certain activities but he didn't make a peep just enjoyed taking in all the pumpkin patch had to offer!

Before having a baby I always dreamed of the fall activities that I would get to introduce my children too and this one did not disappoint. We had such a great time and I can't wait until C is walking and able to run around and enjoy all the activities.

I just love seeing Aunt Cat with C she just adores him and it warms my heart!

Craw and I rode on the cow ride pulled by a tractor.

C was having a ball!

Watching him see the animals for the first time was adorable he wanted to get his hands on all of them!

trying to pet the cow

Daddy was excited to hear all about it when we got home!

We decided it was pumpkin carving time and C dug right in!
