Halloween 2014

For Halloween this year all Craw has been saying he wanted to be was Marshal from Paw Patrol (his favorite show on tv). I had this grand plan in my head that he was going to be Peter Pan and Sutton was going to be Tinkerbell and even bought her costume last year. Oopss my 3.5 year old had other plans! He doesn't ever like to put on dress up clothes but every day he told us that he wanted to wear it but not until Halloween. He was resistant to wearing a costume last year too but we were able to get it on him for a few short hours so I was hoping the same thing would happen. Well we put in on the night before Halloween for the first time and oops 5 inches too short. Craw didn't care though. He has his Marshal hat on and his pup pack and he was pumped to go trick or treating. We kept asking him what he was going to say when he went to the door to get candy and he told us "pretty please with a cherry on top." (almost buddy but how about 'trick or treat')

Sutton had to try on her costume too! She looked precious and I only wish my plan would have worked out....maybe next year

Sutton even got to wear her brother's first Halloween outfit (we just added the bow this time around for cuteness factor)

We ha to wake Craw up for school and told him it was finally Halloween and he was excited!

We got his costume on and he headed to school where they would trick or treat from room to room.

Sutton and I ran some errand while he was at school and she was tuckered out by the time we got home. Love this sweet angel.

Nana and Papa picked Craw up from school and then came over to our house. Craw and I ran to Publix for a few groceries while Sutton napped and then we all got ready for trunk or treat with Hope and Carter. We strapped Sutton up in the stroller and let Craw loose to run around with his cousins.

The church has a ton of bounce houses set up and a Thomas the train and the kids play before lining up and trunk or treating from car to car. We didn't stay for the trunk or treat part because we were meeting up with the neighbors.

After bouncing and riding the train and taking a spin on the playground we packed into Brad's car (who had met us after work) and headed home.

When we arrived home Chandler the bumble bee and Cal/Casey were waiting for us.

We bundled S up and waited for the Hewitts to join us and then we hit the hood.

Craw and Ainslie took their scooter and it was adorable to watch them park their scooters and then get out and ring doorbells. Then they ditched the scooters and started racing from house to house saying "trick or treat."

We made a full circle around the hood

Sutton was sorta over the whole trick or treating but we decided we would do our best to make the full loop before putting her to bed.

Janna joined us and the older girls were a little fast for Craw but he did his best to keep up.

As we finished up walking the hood ---Craw and Ainslie immediately poured out their candy and went to town opening candy and taking one bite of things. I was sick just watching all the sugar they were consuming butttt they were having a ball.
Craw and I got in the car with Jay, Anna, Thomas, Ainslie
and headed over to the other side of the neighborhood. We would let them get out and run up to the houses that looked like they were handing out candy. It was adorable. Craw tired out rather quickly (probably from his sugar plunge) and we sorta just drove around and watched the final trick or treaters finish up.

We got home a little after 9 and it was the perfect Halloween. Craw got the best of both worlds seeing his cousins and his friends.
