Crawford's Baptism

What a special day to celebrate! We had Crawford Baptized at Prince of Peace on August 6th at 10:30 in the morning. He was the only child being baptized that day and we got to enjoy the ceremony that Father Tomlinson performed. We professed our recognition that Crawford is a gift from the Lord, and vowed to place him in His hands and teach him about Jesus and his love for Crawford.

We grew up having such a strong connection and love for our Godparents. I am so lucky that I have stayed close to both Godparents and treasure this wonderful people that my parents chose for us so long ago. While infant baptisms are new to the Redds they were very sweet and participated and celebrated the occasion with us. Cathleen is just going to make the best Godmother as she just adores and loves Crawford. Brad's dad was our Christian witness and again I don't think we could have a better representative in Crawford's life (considering he spends every day with him!)
Crawford behaved quite nicely during the ceremony

It wouldn't be a Redd family affair without Janet's video camera so we are thankful that she has this special celebration on record.

The wonderful Godparents that just love and adore Crawford so much

The Godparents. They gave their consent to be great Christian role models in Crawford's life and Grandpa got to light the baptismal candle.

Crawford's cake---still a little too young to enjoy it...but of course we all did!

Aunt Cat helping C open his baptism gift

She had a date of birth plate made for him from Adlers. My mom always hung these in her kitchen when we were growing up and they were given to each of us by our Godparents....what a great tradition to continue--we love it and can't wait to find a special place for it

I can't believe Adlers has been making this plates for over 30 years...such a sweet baptism gift

Aunt Ellen and Uncle Bob also sent an angel to hang from Crawford's crib with a sweet saying. We are so thankful for all the love Crawford was given on such a sweet occasion!
