Sutton 6 weeks

Sutton 6 weeks
I can't believe it's half way through my time with you at home. While we are still trying to pin point exactly why you are so fussy you do give us brief glimpses of your smiles and I just want to eat you up! You are a little more predictable than your brother was at this time. You always eat then stay awake from anywhere between 1/2 hour to 1.5 hours. You will normally start fussing so we will swaddle you reaaaal tight and then walk around bouncing and rocking you. Usually that does the trick to calm you down. Sometimes you want your paci and sometimes you just scream and scream. It is hard to go out with you because you like to be left alone when you sleep. You want your swing, your swaddle and some white noise and for everyone to leave you alone! Luckily daddy and I take turns running errands or taking Craw out. Brad has been working out since you were born and we are so proud of him. I started back at the gym last week and made it to 3 classes. I am hurting today! You usually go to sleep for the night between 9:30 and 10. You then wake up between 2-3. Then you wake up again between 6-7. After that you take a little cat nap and are hungry again between 7-8. You are awake for a good while after this 8 am feeding. We play with you and have you do tummy time and play on your mat. Then we wrap you real tight and walk around with you bouncing and rocking you the whole time. You sleep beautifully starting after your 11-12:00 feeding and will take a 2-3 hour nap and then eat again and take a pretty long nap. Starting between 5-6 you will eat and dose off but if you are awake after that feeding you are quite fussy. We walk around with you sometimes I feed you again and we try to entertain you until around 8 when we start bath time. You looove your baths and then are pretty hungry and tired after this.

This is you after a feeding. You will look around and take in everything for a few minutes.

Sutton sleeping in her car seat is a rare site! You sure look adorable here. You don't do well in the car or on walks so I don't know what it is about this carrier but it's generally not your favorite place!

Craw has taken a looove to Mickey. He asks where he is at all times. (this was the mickey craw picked out when he was just 10 months old. We asked him to pick between this mickey and Donald and he grabbed for this one.) We have started planning our Disney trip for December and we can't wait to share our love for Disney  magic with you. (sorry for dressing you in your brother's outfit we promise we have lots of girly clothes for you!)

This was you getting measured at your 1 month doctor appointment. You were noooot happy at this visit. It was good because the doctor could tell that you weren't very happy and was trying to help us figure out what might be bothering you. (for the record-- doctor thinks you may have a milk-protein allergy so for no mommy is on a dairy free diet --no pizza for me!)

we love family cuddle time! I love when craw and I can work on his rhyming word games on the ipad while I hold baby Sutton.

loving all your sweet clothes you were gifted with!

Craw playing with you on the play mat!

Hope and Carter came by with nana and papa after they took the grand kids to chuck-e-cheese. They were all showing Sutton some love.
Bath time with my love bug!

Your happy napping place!

I snuck away to go visit some friends at Southern Culture and I was telling you bye!
9:30 pm and lights out for you! Sound asleep in your pack-n-play
more play mat time in the mornings
We always called your brother Mr. Serious. We might start calling you that too! We can't wait for your smiles to start coming out more!

One of the few pictures where you don't look like your daddy and brother

oh oh did I get a smile?!

I love you angel girl! Even when you cry and I don't know how to fix it...I know you will grow out of it just like your brother. For now, we will love on you and care for you the best we can. I love you to pieces and we can't wait for our first beach trip with you!
